The Heart of the Great American Road Rally

The Great American Road Rally is a cross-country event and television series where celebrity teams drive classic cars over 2,400 miles down historic Route 66. Rather than competing for a traditional trophy, each team drives to raise awareness and support for a specific charitable cause.

The series is hosted by actor Ian Ziering. Known for his television career and passion for automotive culture, Ziering guides the participants along their cross-country journey while highlighting the competition and philanthropic efforts.

The Rally features a star-studded lineup spanning television, film, music, sports, and comedy. Participating stars include John O'Hurley, Erik Estrada, Sam J. Jones (Flash Gordon), Butch Patrick (Eddie Munster), Tammy Pescatelli, Miss USA Audrey Eckert, Kevin Lawson, Charlene Tilton, Jamie Kaler, Erin Murphy, John Schneider, and musicians Nik West, Skip Martin, Taylor Hicks, Craig Campbell, and others, alongside motorsports drivers like Jesse Love, Connor Mosack, and Taylor Reimer.

The Rally features ten distinct charitable organizations:

  A Soldier's Child Foundation: Serving and honoring the surviving children of fallen U.S. military service members.

  Route 66 Road Ahead Partnership: Preserving, promoting, and restoring the historical legacy of Route 66.

  Carpe Artista (with the James Burton Foundation): Empowering young artistic talent and keeping music education and instruments accessible.

  Challenged Athletes Foundation: Providing opportunities, adaptive equipment, and grants to athletes with physical disabilities.

The route spans over 2,400 miles from Chicago to the Santa Monica Pier, passing through iconic stops like St. Louis, Tulsa, Amarillo, Albuquerque, Flagstaff, and Las Vegas along historic Route 66.
